EKASY creates documentation following the Software Development lifecycle, which includes evaluation of present system, information gathering, feasibility study, documentation, and approval requests. EKASYS is responsible for documenting the process including procuring equipment, work performance, equipment integration work instructions, all testing, commissioning and final documentation. Documentation is developed in accordance with NAVY and DOD requirements. EKASYS developed and implemented up-to-date task tracking and Contract Lifecycle Management data systems.

3.10 – Configuration Management (CM) Support The EKASYS Team will follow a standardized systems engineering life cycle (SELC). We baseline the results and artifacts from each phase and conduct a review to validate the work done to that point. We use this to keep stakeholders informed at all times and to provide early and frequent verification that all aspects of development, update, and/or modernization are on track. In this way we apply engineering rigor to our updates, patches, or more major technology refresh efforts, to make certain everything works right the first time, every time. Once we baseline the artifacts, we place them under strict configuration control.

SELC

Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC)

The EKASYS Team will follow a strict configuration management (CM) process using Microsoft SharePoint as our CM system to make certain the customer knows exactly what is being changed or updated at all times. Our strict CM process help us to carefully control precisely what changes are going to be made to the operational environment and thoroughly test them, so that when we deploy the upgrade, patch, or update, we know they will work the first time, every time.

CM Process

The EKASYS CM Process

Through careful CM control we are able to properly plan for all updates to the operational systems including appropriate rollback and recovery procedures in the event that anything goes other than planned during the deployment of the change. EKASYS has achieved exemplary performance for the support of the NAVSEA CIO office due to the broad experience of our technical personnel, program managers and senior executives who all have configuration management experience in different disciplines. We apply this knowledge, experience, and understanding of the environment to deliver solutions that work right the first time, every time.

EKASYS has provided Configuration Management services for NAVSEA 00I Corporate Document Management System (CDMS). EKASYS has instituted an Engineering Review Board (ERB) to track each configuration item (CI) throughout its life cycle. Primary services consist of configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audit. For Configuration Identification: EKASYS identified the baseline functional requirements for the Corporate Document Management System (CDMS). Within the area of Configuration Control: we are tracking and documenting the status of all changes related to the functional, allocated, and product baselines; including those brought about by changes in mission requirements, advances in technology, or the impacts of cost and scheduling. In the area of Configuration Audit EKASYS provides for resolution coordination of Functional Configuration Audit (FCA) and Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) discrepancies, and verify FCA/PCA issues are incorporated into CI documentation.

The EKASYS Team will ensure that quality management obligations are measurable and subject to inspection, and that acceptance criteria correspond to the contract’s performance standards. Execution of our Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) is based on a system of feedback loops that ensure activities are aligned to project goals and serve as a basis for continuous improvement over the life of the contract. The QAP ensures contract compliance and the acceptability of services and work products, including activities from team members and suppliers.

The EKASYS Team is firmly committed to meeting customer requirements, and to help achieve this goal. The EKASYS Team will use the Quality Management System (QMS) that establishes processes and procedures for project management, design and development, fabrication, and post-delivery support. Additionally, the QMS will define quality objectives and quality roles and responsibilities. Our PM will establish a Project Management Plan, key personnel, define project requirements and objectives, and provide a baseline for subsequent project reviews. In accordance quality management best practices and standard, the EKASYS Team will flow down the appropriate quality provisions and provide proper oversight to any supplier that may be used.

The EKASYS executive team will conduct periodic site visits to ensure all work is progressing on schedule and within budget. The EKASYS Team will perform periodic performance reviews and pre-milestone assessments as part of our regimented verification and validation process, building to a pre-acceptance testing event based on the approved test plan. This will ensure a quality product is delivered to the Government and passes the stringent Government acceptance testing. After acceptance, the EKASYS Team will perform on-going quality management analysis through system maintenance and monitoring. As part of this monitoring process, the team will review system logs that record anomalies or degradation of service. Through this analysis, the team can provide early detection of an increase in network or system problems that are indicative of a looming failure.  Early detection enables the team to take corrective action before a complete failure occurs. The team performs this type of advanced analysis in order to take proactive action and ensure that the system is functional 100% of the time for operational events that impacts it. The EKASYS Team ensures customer satisfaction not only by directly involving quality managers from both companies, but through strong management commitment.
